RED SUGAR LAUNCHES “DRINK PINK” IN HONOUR OF 

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH THIS OCTOBER 

 

 

Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong’s popular rooftop cocktail bar, Red Sugar, has joined hands with internationally acclaimed mixologist – Antonio Lai to create a special cocktail menu “Drink Pink” to serve four delicious pink cocktails with a very important message of supporting the cause for breast cancer awareness in the month of October. Since 1994, breast cancer has become the top cancer type among women in Hong Kong and fortunately if detected early it has a close to 90% survival rate. Red Sugar invites guests to join the international movement to raise awareness and a glass to this worthy cause. 10% of sales on these pink cocktails will be donated to Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation to help contributing for the research of the cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure for the disease.  

 

 

The Cocktails 

Red Sugar’s very own bartender Simon Kwong clashed ideas with Antonio Lai on some very interesting pink spirits to create four vibrant libations to in all shades of pink to make this mission of hope delicious.  Indeed, there is never a wrong time for a tasty cocktail, here are some of the most delicious ways to drink pink: 

 

Think Pink – Presented in an exclusive Hennessey glass, this elegant concoction features esteemed ingredients such as yuzu and hibiscus tea that are known to be good for longevity, on top of being delicious.  

 

Pink Is In The Air – An aromatic drink that bursts strawberry and kiwi with a fluffy foam that ooze a luring fruity scent. Cointreau orange-flavored liqueur and Belvedere vodka give the drink a nice texture, too.  

 

All Clear – This pretty pink cocktail is the perfect starter of any night. Attractive pink color from the newly launched pink gin by Gordon. The refreshing citrus flavour thanks to fresh grapefruit juice that is gently stir to perfection. 

 

el Pecho – A robust agave cocktail that is refreshingly bold! Shaken with fresh watermelon juice and coconut water on bespoke Casanigos tequila and agave. The cute clay cup is packed with all the delicious ingredients that contain high antioxidants.   

 

 

Guest Shift with Antonio Lai 

Acclaimed mixologist – Antonio La, well known for the pioneer of molecular mixology, will join hands with Red Sugar’s very own bartender – Simon Kwong to mix their crafts at Red Sugar.

Cocktail Masterclass by Antonio Lai 

Everything about this experience is designed to make guests feel truly special with a beautiful cause to support breast cancer awareness (60% of fee will be donated to Breast Cancer Foundation).  

 

Discover Antonio Lai’s expert cocktail making secrets and learn about the skills to create the perfectly balanced pink cocktails: Master the free pour/ Learn to shake and stir a cocktail/ The art of layering/ Practice muddling/ Strain properly. Each participant will enjoy all 4 of the Pink Drinks they craft in this class on our popular garden rooftop afterwards!
